As for the gay references, my local MP back in the 80's was Harvey Proctor, he got done for spanking underage boys, if it wasn't for a mass cover up there would have been plenty more arrested but recently May in her role of Home Secretary oversaw a 'loss of evidence', conveniently enough.

Most people I know probably vote on circumstance, policies, state of the country at the time rather than blind, inept, loyalty to the 'brand'.

the election was fucked up by May. It was sod all to do with Corbyn. Sort of good because it will mean the eventual splitting of Labour and the final end of the socialist (and nationalist) wankers with a new centrist party populated by centre left and centre right alienated by the hards on both sides.

Personally I don;t think there's a place for that sort of thing at all at sporting events, be it left or right leaning. Keep the sport purely about the sport and leave the politics for afterwards.
However, statements like that are only going to encourage it happening.
